Next Analysis: Travers Stakes
Menifee - Came back in the Haskell with a very good performance after the Belmont disaster. He will be right there but I have my doubts about him at this time.
Best of Luck - The come from the clouds type will have alot to do today with this group. Will be far back early and try to make a run. Minor award predicted.
Badger Gold - Is clearly in over his head in here. Will be on or near the lead early but I don't think he'll be there when the real running begins.
Cat Thief - Is as honest as they come but he rarely wins. The added distance won't help. Will give it his all and may last for a share.
Ecton Park - Skipped the final two legs of the triple crown and won the Jim Dandy in impressive fashion. Got 8 pounds from the Kid who was coming off a layoff. Looks to be just a cut below these. 3rd of 4th predicted.
Lemon Drop Kid - Didn't care for the slop last time yet still finished a solid second. Seems to be a pattern developing with this one and he is my pick for all the marbles.
Unbridled Jet - Herb Castillo doesn't seem to get any credit with him or Verse. He seems to get the best out of each of the horses yet he gets replaced here by Bailey. Might have won the Haskell if not for traffic problems. Picks up 12 pounds and think he will be a massive underlay.
Vision and Verse - He just hates the slop so you can throw that last race out. That leaves him as the sleeper horse. Which Vision and Verse will show up today? I think the one that gave the Kid a fight in the Belmont. I smell a deja vu occurring today.
Picks: Lemon Drop Kid Vision and Verse Menifee Ecton Park
